Overwhelmed...

Things are finally starting to happen at our house.  I thought this would make me feel better, but it is kind of making me feel worse.  It just makes me realize exactly how much still has to be completed before we can actually move into the house!  (Which has to happen in less than 1 month!!!)  Right now, our biggest setback is finding painters that can get everything done, so the floor guys can get in, so we can get in...
A very gaudy light used to be here...it reminded Chris of the Godfather.  I wasn't expecting it to leave such a huge hole in the ceiling when we took it out.

These walls were covered in mirrors, which in my opinion, is not a good look.  So glad they are gone!

Garage=Garbage
This is where everything that we aren't using is going for now.  It is pretty messy.

This was (and is for now) a very gross bathroom.  We are pretty much starting over on this one.

Guest bedroom minus the nasty carpet.

Living room minus the giant green doors.

This will be Chris' fun room.  We will eventually be getting a pool table.  There was a huge built-in shelving unit, but it had to go so there will be more room to play.

Toilet in the shower...seems like a good place.

So as of right now, there is A LOT that has to be done in a very short amount of time.  I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it will actually happen!  While the inside is a complete mess, the yard actually look pretty good!  The 3 feet build up of leaves that we had are now gone with pine straw in it's place.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Happy 4th of July!!!
On Tuesday, I flew up to Philadelphia to see Chris for a few days.  Chris had a great week of golf!  I was so glad to be there to see it happen.  We stayed with a friend's parents, which was a lot of fun.  They were able to show us around Philadelphia.  We are so bad about exploring the different cities that we travel to, so it was great to have a tour from someone who actually knows where they are going!  Unfortunately, I had to fly back home today to take care of some stuff with the house.  Chris is off to Illinois for the John Deere.  There is still a chance that I could end up in Illinois before the is over...
Independence Hall

The Liberty Bell (we just saw it from afar)

Bakery that we went to in the Italian market...

We just got a few samples...
