Failed Attempt at Golf

So I have been practicing chipping into the back of the couch at home. Since we have been gone for so long, today was my first day practicing in a while. I basically am horrible, but Chris tries to talk me into more and more things. Like today, he talked me into going outside so see if I could hit it over the fountain at our condo. I had many failed attempts, and this is just one. Needless to say, I think I'm going to let Chris be the only golfer in our family for now.

Finally Home!

I haven't done a good job of keeping up our blog at all! My last update was from Pebble, and since then we have been to LA. We stayed with a family in Beverly Hills, and they were able to show us around town. I went shopping at Fred Segal, had lunch at The Ivy, and dinner at Dan Tana's. It was a really fun week, even though things didn't go as we hoped as far as golf is concerned. We came back home on Saturday to wonderful weather! I was able eat lunch on Sunday with my mom and sister, Tara, who I haven't seen in forever. We were also able to celebrate one of Chris' friends birthdays. It's always good to come home, but especially when we get to see people we haven't seen in a while! Once again, I haven't done a good job of taking pictures...maybe we will get out to the beach tomorrow and I can take some of Chris paddle boarding!

New Pics from Pebble Beach

On to Round 3

We've made it through the first two rounds of the tournament. Thursday, Chris played Pebble Beach. Today, he played Monterey Peninsula Club. Apparently, Chris saw a whale today. I'm very mad that he didn't tell me! I really wanted to see one. We could hear the seals talking on the holes by the ocean today, but we never got close enough to see any. My friend Elizabeth flew in last night, which is giving me some company on the course. I'm always looking for someone to keep me company while walking 18 holes! I've been taking some pictures on the course (which is not really allowed, but it's so pretty I can't resist!). Hoping for a great round tomorrow!
When we got back to the house this afternoon, I was walking across the patio and saw a fox. It was so small! It sat and stared for a while, but when I went to get Chris to show him, it ran away!

Hello from Pebble Beach

I have been thinking about starting a blog since this season started, and finally, it's happening.  Hopefully this will inspire me to take more pictures of our travels because so far, I've done a horrible job at documenting our journey.  Chris and I are currently on our 6th week on the road.  It has been an adventure so far.  We left home on January 5th and will head back home for a week on February 21.

We are currently in Carmel, CA for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.  Chris played back in 2009 when the weather was cold and rainy.  It looks like the weather will be beautiful this year, which makes walking golf courses a lot easier!  Chris tees off Thursday at 10:12 and will be playing at Pebble Beach.
